CHICAGO (AP) _ John Bean Technologies Corp. (JBT) on Monday reported third-quarter earnings of $33.5 million.
The Chicago-based company said it had net income of $1.04 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.28 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.08 per share.
The food processing and transportation services company posted revenue of $489.4 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $507.4 million.
JBT expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.80 to $4.90 per share.
JBT shares have climbed 52% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $108.97, an increase of 10% in the last 12 months.
