Former Florida governor Jeb Bush is running to be the Republican Party’s 2016 presidential nominee. This is, of course, a political party that flaunts its love for the Second Amendment on the reg. So on Tuesday, candidate Bush tweeted a picture of a handgun with his name on it and captioned it “America.” His supporters ate it up to the tune of over 10,000 likes.
The rest of Twitter, though, has eaten it up in a different way. Finding the post ripe for parody, waves of Twitterers have sent off their own “America.” tweets, attaching images that range from stinging partisan opposition to just plain fun and silly.
