Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos Officially File for Divorce After Working Out Billion Dollar Settlement

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and MacKenzie Bezos are making their amicable split legally binding by heading to court and filing the paperwork to officially end the marriage.

According to documents, obtained by The Blast, the former couple filed a joint divorce petition in King County, Washington. The documents mention the Bezos’ 3 minor children, and also notes they have continued to live in the same house.

The petition notes a separation contract has already been worked out, and both Jeff and MacKenzie want their property divvied up according to their agreement.

Child support was also worked out between the two, and they request that “the court should approve an agreed child support order.”

As for spousal support, they both express that it is “not needed.”

Intersting — MacKenzie is NOT requesting a name change to her maiden name of Tuttle.  She will remain a Bezos, and also a billionaire as she recently announced she kept 25% of the Amazon stock the ex-couple shared.

MacKenzie did give up her shares in Blue Origin and the Washington Post … but her Amazon ownership is reportedly worth $36 BILLION.

Both Jeff and MacKenzie signed the divorce documents on March 28, 6 days before the settlement was announced to the public, and both expressed they were “grateful” for the process to be finished.
