NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon will be selling his personal 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 later this month through Barrett-Jackson to benefit his charity, the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation. The car, a C7.R special edition model, is optioned with the eight-speed automatic and has just 747 miles on the odometer. It's the best way to fulfill your dreams of driving a car Jeff Gordon drove, while also helping a good cause.

The C7.R special edition comes standard with the Z06's Z07 track package, which is normally an optional extra. That gets you a bigger splitter, a more aggressive adjustable rear wing, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Additionally, C7.R cars get black wheels with yellow accents, carbon fiber hood trim, yellow-painted brake calipers, bespoke graphics, and a unique interior trim. The car could be ordered in either yellow or black, and according to the VIN sequence, this car is number 23 out of the 500 built.

Barrett-Jackson will auction off the car on the evening of January 18th, which is just under two weeks away. The entire amount of the sale will go to the Jeff Gordon Children's foundation, which gives support to pediatric cancer research and patient support programs. There's no estimate given, but considering this car's provenance and charity backing, we can imagine it might go for a bit more than your standard Z07-equipped Z06.
