  • Jennifer Aniston apologized Wednesday for breaking Instagram when she joined the popular app earlier this week.

  • Instagram crashed temporarily when Aniston joined. The actress kicked off her grid with a Friends reunion photo.

  • She also broke Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's record for the quickest account to reach one million followers on the app.

Jennifer Aniston finally joined Instagram this week and the actress broke records—and the app itself—when she debuted her 'Gram.

Aniston kicked off her grid with a Friends reunion photo, featuring the iconic sitcom's entire lead cast. In the photo, Lisa Kudrow (aka Phoebe Buffay) leans against Aniston's (aka Rachel Green) shoulder, while Matthew Perry (aka Chandler Bing) peeks out from behind her hair. In the background, Matt LeBlanc (aka Joey Tribbiani) smiles holding Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer (Monica and Ross Geller) close.

With a picture like that, it's no wonder Instagram crashed under the onslaught of users clamoring for a look.

On Wednesday, the actress apologized for crashing the popular app in a post that included a clip from her upcoming Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show.

"I swear I didn’t mean to break it... Thank you guys for the kind, glitchy welcome ❤️," she wrote, along with a clip of her Morning Show character, Alex Levy, getting frustrated and throwing her cellphone.

"We are aware that some people were having issues following Jen's profile," a spokesperson for Facebook, which owns Instagram, said in a statement to CNN of the Aniston-induced crash. "We are thrilled to have this 'Friend' as part of the Instagram community."

In addition to temporarily shutting down the site, Aniston also broke a major Instagram record, beating the Guinness World Record previously set by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Sussex Royal Instagram account for fastest user to reach one million followers.

It took Aniston just five hours and 16 minutes to reach the one million followers mark—a feat that took the Duke and Duchess of Sussex five hours and 45 minutes to accomplish, according to the Guinness World Records.

Loyal subjects of Instagram, bow down to your new queen.
