It's been over two years since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner first announced their separation in 2015, but Garner is still not ready to fully embrace the single life.

"I would not have chosen this life for myself or for my kids," Garner told news.com.au at the premiere of her new film, The Tribes of Palos Verdes.

Garner and Affleck were married in 2005, but the couple filed for divorce 12 years later this past April. It has not been finalized because proceedings can take up to six months in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

In the meantime, the exes are working together to provide a healthy coparenting environment for their three children, Violet, 11, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 8, and Samuel, 5. Although, Garner admitted to news.com.au that it's not the kind of life she envisioned for her family.

"I would not choose to be single or be in this position," Garner continued. "It's something that we are working through."

Garner also said she is choosing to take her time before moving on with another partner. "I haven't been on a date and I am not interested in dating," she said. "People want to set me up and I am just like, 'No thank you!'"

Her ex, however, was spotted publicly with his new girlfriend, Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus, just three months after Garner and Affleck filed divorce papers.

Still, Garner said she has love for Affleck and the family plans to spend the holidays together for the kids' sake.

"We will all be together for Thanksgiving," she said. "I love Ben. We will be together with our kids and give them a special Christmas. We get along really well and it's not an issue. We are friends; we can manage it."
