JM Smucker raises quarterly dividend to 58 cents

ORRVILLE, Ohio (AP) -- The J.M. Smucker Co. said Monday it will increase its quarterly dividend by 6 cents, or nearly 12 percent, to 58 cents.

The dividend is payable on Sept. 3 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 16.

CEO Richard Smucker said the food company remains committed to increasing the dividend to return value to shareholders.

Smucker shares closed up 65 cents at $106.66.
