Joe Alwyn Talks About Keeping His Relationship With Taylor Swift ‘Successfully Very Private’
Taylor Swift and British actor Joe Alwyn have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye since they were first linked as a couple, but now Alwyn is speaking about the singer for the first time — by proudly highlighting just how private they’ve managed to keep things.
“I’m aware people want to know about that side of things,” he told British Vogue in a new interview, according to People. “I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people … but I really prefer to talk about work.”
News of Swift and Alwyn’s romance broke in May 2017, but by that point, the pair were reportedly already several months into their relationship. It was a major change of pace for Swift, who previously had several very high-profile romances, including a headline-dominating few months with actor Tom Hiddleston in the summer of 2016.
Swift has not spoken about the relationship either, but when she released her latest album, Reputation, in November 2017, fans were quick to point out all the possible references to Alwyn (which continued throughout her subsequent music videos). The “Delicate” singer has since confirmed that Reputation is an album about “finding love throughout all the noise.”
