Johnson Controls gives lackluster 2014 forecast

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Johnson Controls Inc. anticipates that its fiscal 2014 earnings and revenue will come in below analysts' estimates even as it foresees sales increases across most of its units.

The Milwaukee company expects earnings between approximately $3.15 and $3.30 per share on revenue of about $43.8 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet predict full-year earnings of $3.31 per share on revenue of $44.29 billion.

Johnson Controls said Wednesday that it expects sales increases for its automotive experience, building efficiency and power solutions divisions.

The shares fell $1.21, or 2.3 percent, to $50.11 in afternoon trading Wednesday. Its shares had risen more than 67 percent in 2013 through Tuesday.
