Washington is not giving up hope that they will have tight end Jordan Reed back for Week 7. We break down the fantasy impact.

Washington tight end Jordan Reed was participating in individual drills Wednesday, according to CSN Mid-Atlantic’s JP Finlay. Reed entered the NFL’s concussion protocol after suffering a concussion in Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens. He missed Washington’s Week 6 division win over Philadelphia.

Reed has a long history of concussions throughout his career, having five of the head injuries before suffering the current concussion.

Fantasy Impact: Washington is likely optimistic for their star tight end’s return, but with concussions it can be hard to gauge when he can return.

Washington managed fine without him in a big division win on Sunday. If backup veteran Vernon Davis can stay consistent, Washington could be OK with Reed taking another week to come back. Davis has an upside matchup against Detroit, one of the worst TE-covering defenses in the league.
