Juice WRLD tragically died on Sunday after suffering a seizure. The medical incident occurred shortly after the 21-year-old rapper landed at Chicago’s Midway Airport.

According to TMZ, investigators believe Juice WRLD may have ingested a large amount of painkillers prior to suffering the fatal seizure, possibly in an attempt to conceal the drugs from authorities.

Federal agents were reportedly tipped off that the plane was carrying guns and drugs, and conducted a search upon its arrival to Chicago. Inside, they found 70 pounds of marijuana, several bottles of cough syrup, three guns, metal-piercing bullets and a high-capacity ammunition magazine, according to The Associated Press.

During the search, Juice WRLD went into convulsions and was administered the opioid antidote Narcan after it was revealed that he had taken Percocet. He was subsequently rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday.

Associates of the rapper told investigators that he had a problem with Percocet and took several pills while aboard the flight. Investigators are now trying to determine whether Juice WRLD intentionally ingested a large amount of Percocet in an effort to hide them from authorities.

The Cook County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Monday to determine the cause of death, but additional testing is needed.

Two of Juice WRLD’s security guards, Chris Long and Henry Dean, were arrested Sunday on misdemeanor gun charges.
