- While Ariana Grande's been busy performing at Coachella 2019, and Justin Bieber's been busy watching from the audience (and meeting Billie Eilish, finally), word spread the two might collaborate on new music soon.
- Justin just confirmed it himself, and added that Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes, John Legend, Leonardo DiCaprio (??), and others are also involved, somehow.
Turns out those Justin Bieber/Ariana Grande music collab rumours were TRUE. Biebs dropped a teaser today, letting it slip that he, Ariana, and a bunch of other talented artists (including Leonardo DiCaprio, who I guess is singing now?) are collaborating to "save the Earth" with Lil Dicky.
Oh, and these other people are involved too. Have you heard of them? Halsey, Zac Brown, Brendon Urie, Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Adam Levine, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Sia, Hailee Steinfeld, Lil Jon, Rita Ora, Miguel, Katy Perry, Lil Yachy, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor, Joel Embiid, Tory Lanez, John Legend, Bad Bunny, Psy, Kris Wu, the Backstreet Boys, Benny Blanco, and even more, if you can believe it.
Watch this and just try to contain your excitement:
While watching the Coachella lineup do their thing with his "Baby Boo" Hailey, Justin previously let it slip that he and Ari are collaborating. Which, !!!!!!
He Liked an Instagram comment on a fan's picture that said, "Justin Drew Bieber I DARE YOU to like this comment if you guys are working on a collaboration," referring to him and Ariana. And, welp, he liked it!
Rumours that Justin and Ariana were going to collab have been hanging around for years and years and years now, namely because they share the same manager, Scooter Braun.
They've also been good friends for a while. Take, for instance, last July. When both Ariana and Justin went through quick engagements, she took time to defend Justin and Hailey from trolls.
"First Ariana get engaged to Pete Davidson and now Justin Bieber to Hailey Baldwin the Devil works hard but Scooter Braun works harder,” someone tweeted (pre-Pete Davidson breakup 😬).
“You do realise we are human beings who love and have lives…right? And that Scooter is a wonderful human being too who cares first n foremost [about] our health and happiness?” Ariana clapped back. “Love is lit. Shit happens. I hope to god it happens to you too. U deserve it. [sic]"
What a classy comeback, amirite? Clearly Ari's got nothing but love for the Biebers. But also, can we just admire this throwback pic from legitimately a decade ago when both Ariana and Justin were practically infants?
They've been pals for a while, so a music collab would make complete sense. But wow, 2010 fashion was wild, man.
