FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. (AP) _ Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (KALU) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $21.7 million.

The Foothill Ranch, California-based company said it had profit of $1.29 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.43 per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.59 per share.

The aluminum products company posted revenue of $393.1 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $378.4 million.

Kaiser shares have climbed roughly 1 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $107.63, a rise of 4 percent in the last 12 months.
