Kate Hudson has shaved her head for a film role
Kate Hudson is the latest actress to shave her head for an upcoming film role. The actress – who is known for her beachy, blonde, golden locks – was spotted on set with a buzz cut this week.
While the project Hudson is working on is still under wraps, it is said to be a role in a musical directed by Sia.
Hudson is the latest in a long line of actresses who have opted to shave their heads for movie roles of late. Most recently Cara Delevingne showed off a buzzcut after shaving her head to play a terminally ill cancer patient in Life in a Year. She admitted that she also did it to challenge the notion of beauty.
"Just doing it really was liberating," Delevingne told WWD. "The kind of power and not needing hair to be beautiful, and that was the message I really thought I needed to spread."
Millie Bobby Brown famously shaved her head for Stranger Things and both Kristen Stewart and Katy Perry have also joined the buzz cut brigade, although neither of them were required to do it for a film role.
