Kate Middleton’s Belted Green Dress Has a Secret Meaning
Kate Middleton consistently steps out in the most elegant and modern ensembles. But we probably didn’t need to remind you about that, right? Well, per usual, her latest look is one of the books.
While in Lewisham, South London visiting the charity Family Action to launch FamilyLine, a national helpline that offers free support for parents and families, the Duchess of Cambridge wore the Yahvi midi dress ($770) in green by Beulah, paired with a coordinating envelope clutch and suede pumps. While the frock is undoubtedly sleek and polished, it’s actually much more than just “a dress,” and carries a special meaning.
The Beulah founders Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan are fighting to help end modern-day slavery after witnessing victims of human trafficking in a government-run warehouse on a mission trip. They’re donating a portion of their profits from all of their items (Middleton’s dress included) to support women who have been victims of sex trafficking.
“We experienced first hand the awful effects that modern-day slavery imposes on innocent lives. But we also learned how by helping others find opportunities and employment, small acts of kindness can carry a truly significant impact of providing hope for the future,” according to the Beulah website.
