KB Home (KBH), one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, today announced that it has commenced concurrent public offerings of $300.0 million in aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2027 and an additional $100.0 million in aggregate principal amount of its existing series of 7.625% senior notes due 2023. Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the senior notes offerings.
The senior notes will be guaranteed on an unsecured senior basis by certain of KB Home’s subsidiaries that have guaranteed KB Home’s outstanding senior notes. KB Home intends to use the net proceeds from the senior notes offerings towards the retirement of its 4.75% Senior Notes due 2019, by redemption on the optional redemption terms specified for such notes, purchase or repayment at maturity.
The senior notes offerings are being made pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement that KB Home has on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”).
