On a per-share basis, the Fairfield, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of 12 cents.
The holding company for Kearny Federal Savings Bank posted revenue of $63.3 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $42.7 million.
Kearny shares have climbed slightly more than 3 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $13.24, a decline of roughly 3 percent in the last 12 months.
