Kelsey Merritt Shared the Makeup Routine She Followed for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Casting

Kelsey Merritt may have walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runaway in a cool $918 worth of beauty products, but her own IRL routine will run you a whole lot less. The model shared her beauty secrets with Vogue, walking viewers through the complete makeup routine tht she wore during casting for the fashion show.

For Kelsey, it all starts with prepping her skin for makeup. She begins by mixing sunscreen with moisturizer, noting that it's important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. She then treated herself to an application of coconut oil, and spread the product all over her body. As for how much moisturizing items to apply, Kelsey shared an important tip, saying, "Listen to what your skin needs."

Before moving on to the makeup phase, the model shared the secret beauty ingredient that she keeps growing nearby her bathroom. Pulling out her "little, cute" aloe plant, Kelsey explained how she crushes a piece of the plant between her fingers to get its gel. She then applies the gel to her hair, saying, "I rub it all over my scalp and the dry parts of my hair." This model clearly has a green-thumb.

As for her must-have makeup products, Kelsey prefers liquid foundation, and even shared how she selects the perfect shade. "I love looking bronze and sunkissed, so I usually use a shade darker than my skin tone," she says. After using her fingers to apply the foundation, Kelsey wrapped up her face makeup with a touch of contouring, and concealer. Counting out five pimples, Kelsey utters an all too relatable phrase, noting that concealing acne is what "makeup is for." However, she does prefer products that "bring out my best qualities—not cover them up.”

In keeping with the theme of her very subtle look, Kelsey wrapped up her complete process with a light dusting of blush and bronzer, a swipe of nude lipstick, clear brow gel, a tube black mascara care of Maybelline's The Falsies, and a shade of golden glitter eyeshadow. And with that, we're officially ready to have our own model makeup moment.
