Kenan Thompson reunites with Mighty Ducks cast at hockey game

Several cast members from the Mighty Ducks reunited at hockey game in upstate New York.

Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson, who played Russ Tyler in the 1992 film and its sequel, was joined by Vincent LaRusso, who played Adam Banks; Colombe Jacobsen-Derstine, who played Julie “The Cat” Gaffney; Garette Ratliff Henson, who played Guy Germaine; and Danny Tamberelli, who played Tommy Duncan.

Outfitted the team’s traditional attire, the group also did some filming out on the ice, which has led to speculation that a Mighty Ducks-themed Super Bowl commercial is in the works.

The Anaheim Ducks, the team formerly named after the Disney film, posted several images of the actors, writing: “Some of your favorite Mighty Ducks visited us on Long Island and met a few of our guys after the game.”

The film sees a young lawyer, Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez), handed community service as the coach of a kids hockey team, following an arrest for drunk driving; a former hockey player himself, now reluctant to return to the ice, Gordon grows to appreciate his team and lead them to victory.
