What do Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Hunter Schafer, and SZA all have in common? Besides being über famous, each were handpicked to star in Calvin Klein's spring 2020 ad campaign for being unapologetically themselves.
As a continuation of the brand's #MyCalvins movement, the new theme "Deal With It" is an ode to self-expression. “The surreal campaign mixes real emotion with fantasy for expressive imagery that exudes confidence,” reads a press release about the digital-first concept.
Shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti with an accompanying video by Bardia Zeinali, the visuals capture the campaign's faces — which also include Lil Nas X, Maluma, and Lay Zhang — in their element, modeling Calvin Klein denim and underwear staples.
"I'm so weird. I'm so f—ing weird," Jenner admits in the ad's video, while SZA signs off with the powerful tagline: "I am who I am. I like what I like. I love who I love. I do what I mean. Deal with it."
