Kendall Jenner was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night. She talked about how she missed the extravagant first birthday party Kylie Jenner recently threw for her daughter, Stormi Webster, because of — oddly — a storm.
“I was so upset,” Kendall exclaimed to Fallon. “It was supposed to happen on her actual birthday … and it rained and everything got postponed, so it didn’t happen until I was out of town, which is very unfortunate because I would’ve loved to go and it looked really amazing.”
Kendall implied that the party, called Stormi World — a play on Astroworld, the most recent album by Stormi’s dad, Travis Scott — wasn’t that big a deal to Stormi. “I said to [Kylie], ‘You know, she’s one. I don’t know if she’s going to remember this. Like, I love you for the effort,” Kendall said. But her sister had her mind made up. “She was like, ‘I really don’t care, I just, like, really want to do it,” Kendall said.
Earlier this week, Kylie was slammed online for that exact reason. One critic tweeted:
It has nothing to do with whether or not they can afford it. #Stormi is never going to remember that party. In addition, if you begin that way, you’re certain to raise a spoiled, self-centered child who grows up lazy, thinking the world owes them everything.

Though Kendall wasn’t physically present, she was the next best thing. “My mom showed me, she like FaceTimed me right before and, like, before everyone got there, literally on FaceTime for … 45 minutes to an hour. Like, it was so much stuff she had to show me. It was crazy. I was there. I kind of was there.”
