Kenneth Cole Twitter Account Makes Cringeworthy 'Boots On The Ground' Tweet To Promote Footwear

Popular shoe designer Kenneth Cole has waded into controversy on Twitter with a tweet that appears to be using the possibility of U.S. military intervention in Syria to sell shoes:

The tweet appeared on Cole's personal account (his company, named after himself, tweets as @kennethcoleprd).

Amazingly, this isn't the first time that Cole has sparked controversy with a Middle East-related tweet. Back in 2011 during a time of Chaos in Cairo he tweeted this:

After that tweet Cole himself was forced to apologize on Facebook, writing:

I’ve dedicated my life to raising awareness about serious social issues, and in hindsight my attempt at humor regarding a nation liberating themselves against oppression was poorly timed and absolutely inappropriate.
