Kevin O’Leary, founder of O’Shares ETFs and star of ABC’s Shark Tank, appeared on CNBC's Halftime Report to discuss the launch of his latest ETF.

The O’Shares Global Internet Giants ETF (NYSEArca: OGIG) , which just launched on Tuesday, focuses on Internet technology and e-commerce companies that exhibit revenue growth of 20- to 35-percent, “the majority of which you’ve never heard of,” O’Leary said.

“I want companies with very strong balance sheets, but I want that growth, and these companies are blowing it away on the top line,” he added.

Some of OGIG’s top portfolio holdings includes companies such as Alibaba, Amazon, Facebook, and Alphabet, each of which represents 6- to 6.5-percent of the overall portfolio. Also amongst the index’s 52 holdings are Chinese tech companies like YY, Baidu, 58, and JD.

“I would have never built this if it already existed," O'Leary said. "There isn’t a single index I can find that’s global in this space.”
