One of China's most iconic holidays, the Mid-Autumn Festival, is well on its way. That means lots of time with the fam and lots of time to go to town on some fantastic food. This year, KFC is aiming to get in on the celebrations with their new Hong Kong opening, and more specifically, the debut of a Spicy Chicken & Nuts mooncake.

Traditionally, mooncakes lean sweet over savory (although many also come with a super salty duck egg yolk), so this will definitely be an interesting change of pace. According to Insider, this it's KFC's take on Chinese meat floss, plus "nuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, [and] peaches." Yep, definitely going to need to investigate that.

Oh and that's not all. There's also a Golden Lava mooncake, which is filled with the same gooey goodness of a Chinese egg yolk custard. Again, it's a bit saltier that what we get stateside. Still, there's no doubt it'll be on point.

And with all of that, I surprisingly still haven't gotten to what just might be the best part. So all of this deliciousness comes in what KFC is calling a "Moonlight" bucket! You see, in honor of all of the lanterns that will light up for the festival, KFC created a bucket that would do the same. Plus, it comes with an adorable instruction manual. Check it out:

All in all, KFC has achieved the ultimate fast food trifecta, so we're wishing that we could hop on a plane and go check it out. Hong Kong friends, please post reviews and let us know what you think. A pre-sale for the 6-piece bucket will start on August 5, and will retail at $189 HKD (~$25 USD). By August 10, it'll be $275 HKD (~$35 USD) so you're probably gonna want to check it out early. Enjoy!
