What else can KFC do with fried chicken that hasn’t already been done? Why, sandwiching it between two glazed donuts, of course.

The fast-food spot is testing out two new menu items: the Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich and the Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donut Basket meal. Both became available on Sept. 16 for diners in the Norfolk, Virginia area, Richmond, Virginia area, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area for a limited time.

The sandwich is exactly what it sounds like: a piece of crispy fried chicken in between two glazed donuts (for $5.99 or $7.99 as a combo meal). The basket is more of a deconstructed version, with your choice of chicken on the bone or chicken tenders served with one glazed donut. You can take it up a notch by adding another donut to the basket, because why should the sandwich-eaters be the only ones with two?

If this all sounds super overwhelming (and artery-clogging), you can just add one donut to any meal of your choosing for $1. Did KFC just create the ultimate ‘treat yo self’ meal?
