Digital Content Series Highlights Generational Relationships with a Common Bond of a Love for Sneakers
NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kids Foot Locker partnered with six families who show their passion for sneaker culture in a new series titled "Generations." The series follows generational relationships between adults and children in New York and Los Angeles, highlighting their common love of sneakers.
The first video, debuting on Kids Foot Locker YouTube today, features Reebok brand ambassador Teyana Taylor instructing a group of young girls in a dance lesson. In the video, she inspires the next generation, passing down her love of dance, keys to success as a performing artist and personal stories about her daughter Junie.
"I'm thrilled any time I have the opportunity to interact with and inspire young girls. Passing on my knowledge and sharing common bonds is so critical to the next generation's success," said performing artist Teyana Taylor. "Kids Foot Locker knows that one generation inspires the next, and sneaker culture is a huge part of that. My daughter Junie already loves fashion and her Reebok Classics, just like her mom."
The "Generations" series, created by MOFILM, will debut one video per week for the next six weeks. The digital videos follow the relationships between parent and child, coach and player, and a full family, each chronicling their lives and shared love of sneaker culture.
"Sneaker culture is a common interest for so many people, from young to old and everyday families to stars like Teyana Taylor," said Chris Santaella, VP and GM for Kids Foot Locker. "Kids Foot Locker knows the back-to-school time period is one of the most critical times of year for parents and kids to share in this bond, and we make sure Kids Foot Locker offers the hottest sneakers, apparel and accessories to support that."
Kids Foot Locker has back-to-school shopping covered with the latest footwear, apparel and accessories from Reebok, Nike, Jordan, adidas and more. Kids Foot Locker is also supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) with its annual Add-A-Buck campaign. Those shopping in Kids Foot Locker stores and on kidsfootlocker.com will be encouraged to donate $1, $3, $5 or $10 at check-out to benefit Boys & Girls Club youth as they prepare for their Great Futures.
