Kindle launches Brazil store

Amazon (AMZN) debuted a Brazil Kindle Store that gives e-reader users more than 1.4 mil books priced in Brazilian real, including more than 13,000 books in Portuguese. The company is also offering free Portuguese-language Kindle reading apps for Brazilians with Google (GOOG) Android phones and tablets, and Apple (AAPL) iPads and iPhones. Amazon's latest-generation Kindle will be available for sale in Brazil in coming weeks. Amazon shares fell 0.2% to 253.37.
