LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Kindred Healthcare said Monday it will buy Senior Home Care, a home health provider that does business in Florida and Louisiana, for $95 million.
Kindred said Senior Home Care has 47 locations and has $143 million in annual revenue. It expects to complete the purchase before the end of 2013 and said the acquisition should add to its net income in 2014.
Kindred Healthcare Inc. runs nursing and rehabilitation centers, long-term acute care hospitals, hospice locations, home health services, and inpatient rehabilitation units, and its RehabCare unit provides services to other facilities.
Its shares gained 4 cents to $14.43 in morning trading. The stock is up about 34 percent since the start of the year.
