TORONTO (AP) _ Kinross Gold Corp. (KGC) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $60.9 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Toronto-based company said it had net income of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 8 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 8 cents per share.
The gold mining company posted revenue of $877.1 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $4.81. A year ago, they were trading at $2.70.
