From Cosmopolitan

  • Kit Harington may not have actually seen the final, controversial season of Game of Thrones himself, but he's defended the plot line.

  • He said the cast "knew it was right".

Kit Harinton - or Jon Snow, as he'll probably forever be known to most - is nothing if not loyal. The Game of Thrones actor has defended the final season of the show, which was pretty much panned by fans and critics everywhere, saying the cast knew what was right for their characters - and yeah, that ending was apparently it.

The show won a bunch of awards at the Emmys earlier this week (although, actually, not as many as some fans had hoped) and managed to take away the biggie; Outstanding Drama Series.

However, when he walked the red carpet, Kit admitted that he's yet to see season eight, but its fine - he knows it's good because he's in it! Or something like that. He told Entertainment Tonight:

"...But I know what it took to shoot it, and it was hard and everyone put their love and effort into it. And controversy—I think for us, we knew what we were doing was right, story-wise. And we knew that it was right for the characters because we lived with them for 10 years. So controversy for us didn’t really affect us.”

Okay, sure.

In addition to the big moment at the awards this week, GoT won 10 Creative Arts Emmys last week, and we got to see the cast together for the last time (sob).

Guess Kit isn't the only one who thinks it's all good, then.
