The Knot Just Launched a Hotline to Answer All Your Wedding Questions in the Age of Social Distancing

The recent need for social distancing has left many folks searching for answers about the 2020 wedding season.

Over the weekend, The Knot Worldwide launched a 24/7 hotline that is dedicated to answering all your wedding planning questions. In just one night, they received over 100 calls, 3,000 Instagram comments and hundreds of messages from soon-to-be brides and grooms.

While some couples are downsizing and others are postponing, The Knot revealed that most people are inquiring about the same four topics:

  1. “My wedding is scheduled for May/June—do you think I should postpone?”

  2. “I feel so alone in this situation, and don’t want to cancel—is that an option?”

  3. “Can I get wedding insurance now? How can I get refunds from my vendors?”

  4. “How should I communicate with my guests what the plan is now for our wedding?”

According to The Knot, there are more than 845,000 weddings scheduled between now and May 2020. Since the CDC recommends cancelling all gatherings of more than 50 people for the next few weeks, many couples are being forced to consider the previously unthinkable.
