The CCX of the mid-2000s was the first Koenigsegg to use an engine designed in-house rather than one sourced from another manufacturer. It certainly sounds unique.
From launch, the 4.7-liter twin-turbo V-8 made over 800 horsepower, sending power to the rear wheels via either a single-clutch paddle-shift transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox. It's an incredible piece of engineering, not only judging by its performance, but by its accompanying sound as well. Here, listen for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
