SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) _ Kona Grill Inc. (KONA) on Monday reported a loss of $16.6 million in its fourth quarter.
The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company said it had a loss of $1.58 per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 39 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 33 cents per share.
The restaurant operator posted revenue of $43.6 million in the period, which matched Street forecasts.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $21.6 million, or $2 per share. Revenue was reported as $169.5 million.
Kona Grill expects full-year revenue of $200 million.
Kona Grill shares have fallen 39 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $7.60, a drop of 47 percent in the last 12 months.
