HOUSTON (AP) _ Kraton Performance Polymers Inc. (KRA) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $14.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had a loss of 47 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 88 cents per share.
The specialty chemical company posted revenue of $538.4 million in the period.
Kraton shares have fallen 3.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $46.48, an increase of 31 percent in the last 12 months.
