Kula Tech Launches Innovative Technology to Turn Any Web-Site Into a Mobile App

Example of the app built with Kula Tech

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 17, 2013) -  Journalism has existed for nearly as long as written language. After the invention of the printing press in the 15th century, for many people, newspapers and magazines became an integral part of life. Over the years, newspapers chronicled, and in some cases created, history, while magazines helped to shape the way we think about lifestyle -- travel, fashion, food, and relationships.

But the 21st century is here -- an era of advanced technology and instant communication via the Internet. Now, any kind of information is available in real-time online. Readers of traditional print media moved online, yet online is significantly less profitable for publishers. How can publishers win significantly growing mobile audiences and earn money on them?

This is where startup Kula Tech comes in. The company develops real-time, mass-media applications for mobile devices. Kula Tech strongly recommends that owners of media outlets and media websites create their own application for popular mobile platforms such as iOS and Android, to take advantage of modern mobile platforms' higher quality design and usability, and more importantly, 3 to 5 times higher advertising rates for mobile applications over mobile web. That's how Kula Tech's mobile services help its partners to discover an all-new way to monetize content.

Normally, such application development takes anywhere from a month to six months -- Kula Tech can bring your media property to mobile in less than a week. And while this service may sound incredibly expensive, as it happens, Kula Tech's app development is completely free of charge. Rather than charge its partners for the service of bringing content to mobile, the company uses a revenue share model based on application advertisements. It should now be clear how Kula Tech's services can help media properties gain new readers, rather than lose existing ones. At the moment, the company's released projects include site applications for well-known media such as Maxim and Marie Claire, and over 20 applications in Russia and USA.

CEO and Founder of Kula Tech, Anton Pronkin is saying: "We wanted to make the best application for our potential clients. We have made a detailed research of their issues and proposed a solution to solve just one, but to solve it in the best possible way. I think we made it. Who else can show the same kind of quality, speed and nevertheless -- do it for free!"

We are proud to launch our technology at DEMO Fall 2013, on Thursday at 9:00 am.

Bank of America declares ‘the end of the 60-40’ standard portfolio

Investors have long been told that the ideal portfolio should carry 60% of its holdings in equities and 40% in bonds, a mix that provides greater exposure to historically superior stock returns, while also granting the diversification benefits and lower risk of fixed-income investments. But in a research note published by Bank of America Securities, titled “The End of 60/40,” portfolio strategists Derek Harris and Jared Woodard argue that “there are good reasons to reconsider the role of bonds in your portfolio,” and to allocate a greater share toward equities.

Scholastic (NASDAQ:SCHL) Seems To Use Debt Quite Sensibly

Debt and other liabilities become risky for a business when it cannot easily fulfill those obligations, either with free cash flow or by raising capital at an attractive price. In the worst case scenario, a company can go bankrupt if it cannot pay its creditors. However, a more common (but still painful) scenario is that it has to raise new equity capital at a low price, thus permanently diluting shareholders.

The project's quick lease-up suggests demand for rental units in the Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District remains strong amid a wave of new supply springing up around Nats Park, where the home team moved one game closer Monday night to their first World Series appearance. "We were able to do over 20 units a month essentially between March and September of this year, so it was incredibly fast to be able to get it done," said Caroline Kenney, managing director for public-private ventures at Urban Atlantic.
