Kulicke and Soffa: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

SINGAPORE (AP) _ Kulicke and Soffa Industries Inc. (KLIC) on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $60.3 million.

On a per-share basis, the Singapore-based company said it had profit of 86 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 89 cents per share.

The semiconductor equipment maker posted revenue of $268.8 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in September, Kulicke and Soffa said it expects revenue in the range of $180 million to $190 million. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $220.6 million.

Kulicke and Soffa shares have risen slightly more than 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $25.87, a rise of 19 percent in the last 12 months.
