SINGAPORE (AP) _ Kulicke and Soffa Industries Inc. (KLIC) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $6.4 million.
On a per-share basis, the Singapore-based company said it had net income of 10 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 14 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 12 cents per share.
The semiconductor equipment maker posted revenue of $139.8 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $11.7 million, or 18 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $540.1 million.
For the current quarter ending in January, Kulicke and Soffa said it expects revenue in the range of $130 million to $150 million. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $144 million.
Kulicke and Soffa shares have risen 24% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $25.17, a rise of 25% in the last 12 months.
