Largest option buying in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Qualcomm (:QCOM): A block of 43,000 September 67.50 calls was purchased for $0.43 as investors position for upside in the semiconductor stock before earnings are released this afternoon. QCOM fell 0.50 percent to $61.99.

Dollar General (:DG): Some 6,900 November 55 calls were purchased for $3.10 as investors look for the discount retailer to rally into the autumn. DG rose 0.45 percent to $54.06.

Micron (:MU): Some 5,400 January 15 calls were purchased, most of which priced for $1.37, as investors continue to position for upside in the memory-chip maker. MU fell 1.58 percent to $13.43.

Saks (:SKS): More than 5,000 August 13 puts were bought, mostly for $0.15, but volume was below open interest at the strike. SKS fell 0.07 percent to $15.35.
