Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): Some 33,000 May 13 calls were bought, mostly for $0.07 and $0.08, as investors position for the financial giant to keep climbing. BAC rose 2.22 percent to $12.51.

Qualcomm (QCOM): A block of 9,400 July 65 calls were bought for $1.63, along with an equal number of July 65 puts for $2.76. Known as a long straddle, the trade cost $4.39 and will profit from volatility increasing in the semiconductor stock. QCOM rose 0.52 percent to $64.10.

Facebook (FB): Almost 10,000 May 30 calls were bought, mostly for $0.10, as investors look for the social-networking stock to rally over the next two weeks. FB fell 2.09 percent to $27.72.
