Largest option trades in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

RadioShack (RSH): An investor sold 10,773 October 4 calls for just $0.01 and bought an equal number of November 4 calls for $0.23, rolling a bullish position forward in time. RSH rose 3.40 percent to $3.35.

SunPower (SPWR): An investor bought 6,850 January 28 calls for $5.30 against open interest and sold an equal number of March 28s for $6. He or she probably owns shares in the solar-energy company and is short the contracts as part of a covered-call strategy. Adjusting the position generated an incremental $0.70 of income. SPWR rose 2.67 percent to $31.16.

CarMax (KMX): An investor bought 5,000 November 48 puts for $1.55 and sold and equal number of November 45 puts for $0.50. Known as a put spread, the trade cost $1.05 and will earn profit of 186 percent on a drop to $45 by expiration. KMX fell 0.60 percent to $48.12.
