Latin American airlines could face "bankruptcy pandemic" without govt aid -industry group

March 17 (Reuters) - Airlines in Latin America require immediate government aid or they will face a "bankruptcy pandemic," the head of trade group ALTA told Reuters on Tuesday.

Luis Felipe de Oliveira said the group has been sending letters to governments throughout the region and that the airline industry crisis created by the coronavirus outbreak is "unprecedented." (Reporting by Marcelo Rochabrun, Editing by Franklin Paul)
