Ms. Young is renowned for her work defending clients in all manners of government enforcement actions, including criminal and civil health care fraud cases, False Claims Act cases, and allegations of research misconduct and grant fraud.  In matters involving U.S. Attorney's Offices, the Office of Inspector General, the National Institutes of Health, she utilizes a unique understanding of statistics, complex data analysis, and billing processes.  She frequently conducts internal investigations, implements compliance programs, and counsels clients on clinical research and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement issues. Her clients include physician owners, health systems, post-acute and urgent care providers, diagnostic laboratories, telehealth companies, PBMs, life science companies, and DMEPOS companies.

Mukasey Frenchman & Sklaroff was founded by Marc L. Mukasey in March 2019. In its first year, the firm was tapped to represent public and private corporations and their executives in matters before the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney's Offices, the SEC, District Attorney's Offices and the Attorney General of the State of New York. Among the firm's first-year highlights was Mr. Mukasey's victorious courtroom work in the most prominent trial in military justice history.

"Torrey represents a significant step forward for our firm," said Mukasey. "She brings an extraordinary skill set and a wealth of experience to healthcare and life sciences clients and she's in the vanguard of tech-savvy lawyers. She's a cut above in every way. As we head into our second year, with a full plate of challenging matters, Torrey will be a key part of our trial teams."

In 2019, Ms. Young was one of 10 Boston-based representatives participating in Harvard Business School's Young American Leaders Program. In 2017, she was awarded the Member of the Year award from Tomorrow's Women Today, a women's leadership council.

"I'm thrilled to join Mukasey Frenchman & Sklaroff," said Ms. Young. "I've been working with Marc and his team on a complex criminal case currently headed for trial, so I know I'll be part of a sophisticated, elite team of trial lawyers. I will be eternally grateful to my former colleagues at Foley & Lardner for the terrific years I spent there. Now, my family is excited to move from Boston to New York for this unique opportunity. In matters involving healthcare or life sciences, the Mukasey firm will be ready for trial."

Ms. Young is a graduate of Emory University and the Georgetown University Law Center. She also holds a Masters in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
