LEGO 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback is Chicago Auto Show's smallest reveal

Alex Kierstein

The LEGO-car enthusiast symbiosis is stronger than ever. Over the years, the company's really gotten in our heads, using the twin powers of nostalgia and affordability to reel us in. And frankly, the desire to play with LEGOs never really leaves you, does it? Well, if classic Mustang Fastbacks are your jam, there's a new small-scale LEGO kit for you just announced during the Chicago Auto Show.

The 1968 Mustang Fastback kit is pretty small, at just 183 blocks, but it's also priced affordably at $14.99. The kit is timed to mesh with Ford's 2018 Mustang promotion plans, the car having debuted recently – and right on the back of the rather incredible Bullitt Mustang reveal, both old and new, at the Detroit Auto Show.

If you already own the GT40, Ford GT race car, F-150 Raptor, and Fiesta WRC kits, this should be a nice complement to your collection.
