This month you reported that the chancellor, Rishi Sunak, had announced £3bn of green homes grants (“Sunak to unveil £3bn green package as part of coronavirus stimulus”, Report, July 6).
As chair of a company dedicated exclusively to insulating period properties, you might think we would be happy. We have insulated many hundreds of period properties with our reversible window solution that does not require planning permission.
We were founded 10 years ago specifically to combat climate change, and it has been tough, but we have grown steadily.
The coronavirus pandemic hit us hard but now we face a second crisis, caused by this announcement.
All customer orders have stopped while everybody is waiting to learn about the scheme, with announcements expected in two months.
Please can we ask the UK government to greatly accelerate definition of the terms of this offer.
Today, you just killed the market you intended to grow.
