ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Sep 18, 2014) - Liaison Technologies, a global data management and integration company, announced today that Central Clinical Labs (CCL) has chosen Liaison EMR-Link™ as its lab integration solution with PointClickCare, a widely used Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution for long-term care facilities and skilled nursing facilities.
Based in Chicago, Central Clinical Labs provides laboratory services to over 350 facilities throughout Illinois, Indiana, and the Phoenix, Arizona metro area, with a special focus on mobile phlebotomy. With the Liaison EMR-Link solution, clinicians can now easily view lab results from within PointClickCare, while staff no longer have to scan faxed results and import them into electronic charts.
Says Imtiaz Ahmad, president of Central Clinical Labs, "The EMR-Link solution takes the pain out of the results process, especially for nurses. I've personally seen nurses work off the clock just to get their results scanned in. The process is entirely seamless now. As soon as nurses see it, their eyes just light up. The feedback has been very positive."
Central Clinical Labs is live with the EMR-Link solution at a pilot site, and will roll it out to 25 additional sites in coming months. CCL is also looking forward to offering bi-directional integration (orders and results) next year. "We're already seeing benefits from improving EHR integration. It's definitely given us a competitive advantage, and allowed our clients to provide better care," states Mr. Ahmad.
Says Gary Palgon, vice president Healthcare Solutions for Liaison Technologies, "By choosing EMR-Link as its integration solution with PointClickCare, Central Clinical Labs is helping to spread the benefits of interoperability to the long-term care market."
