SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 29, 2015) - LifeApps Digital Media Inc. (
The new update brings MDWorkout to version 3.2.0 and is already available on the App Store. The updated app includes enhanced data gathering capabilities thanks to integration with Apple's HealthKit framework. MDWorkout now collects data directly from HealthKit. This allows MDWorkout to record activity from the iPhone's built in pedometer as well as information from third party sensor devices that are also integrated with HealthKit, these include calorie counters, activity monitors and much more.
"We are very pleased to deliver an even tighter integration with the advanced capabilities of the Apple Healthkit in the latest update of MDWorkout," states Robert Gayman, CEO of LifeApps Digital Media. "It's easier than ever to record and track your workouts with MDWorkout. And with the HealthKit integration the information you gather about your workouts and nutrition in MDWorkout can be shared with other apps as well."
MDWorkout is a part of the LifeApps Health initiative, a focused effort of LifeApps to develop new products that mobilize healthcare and can be downloaded for free from the App Store for a limited time.
MDWorkout was recently accepted as an IMS Health AppScript application making it available for prescription use by medical doctors.
