TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ Limelight Networks Inc. (LLNW) on Wednesday reported a loss of $2.8 million in its third quarter.
The Tempe, Arizona-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense, came to 1 cent per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 1 cent per share.
The network services company posted revenue of $51.3 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $50.4 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $3.12. A year ago, they were trading at $4.98.
