This Line of Candles Has a Scent for Every 'Friends' Character
A quarter of a century after its premiere, Friends continues to be one of the most watched and beloved shows of all time. With hand-crafted ornaments, gift wrapping paper, and Central Perk mugs, there’s still so much new Friends merch coming out every year. Now, you can even smell each character with these Friends candles on Amazon.
Each candle is based on one of the characters, with a little description explaining how their personalities “smell.” Take the Rachel Green candle: it smells like “a fashionista trendsetter with the world's most sought after haircut.” What does that literally mean? The Rachel candle is cashmere sweater-scented.
The Phoebe Buffay candle smells like a brutally honest and eccentric songwriter whose “hilarious zingers make you wonder what planet she lives on.” Of course, the candle is chocolate chip cookie scented since Phoebe's grandmother’s grandmother may or may not have been Nestlé Toll House, depending on your pronunciation.
With a notes of super competitiveness and obsessive cleanliness, the Monica Geller candle smells like fresh clean linens. The Chandler Bing candle smells like "salt and and consists of “funny one-liners, delivered with the perfect amount of sarcasm.” Caramel popcorn scented, the Joey Tribbiani candle smells like a struggling actor “whose main interests are food & women... not necessarily in that order.” Even though he only wore them once, Ross’s leather pants were a defining sartorial choice for his character. So it’s only right that the Ross Geller candle is leather pants and book-scented.
In addition to the descriptions, each candle features drawings of the characters and the item that you would associate with them. For instance, drawings of whisks and a turkey head wearing sunglasses are on the Monica Geller candle, of course.
The hand-poured 9-ounce soy candles burn for approximately 50 hours, and you can buy them on Amazon for $26 each. They'd make for a great holiday gift for one of your... wait for it... friends.
