LONDON, March 11, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Linkreservations Inc. (LRSV), a company providing cannabidiol (CBD) products especially tailored for pets, announces the launch of a new CBD product for horses under its brand, LinkResPet. This new range has been designed to target the specific issues affecting horses and responds to the market demand for equine nutritional health products.
The current surge in natural health and wellness across the pet care section has created several opportunities for new treatments, such as CBD therapies and supplements to come to market. Horse owners, are incredibly involved in their companions’ health, and like more and more pet owners, they are starting to look for natural alternatives to the side-effect ridden drugs.
Back in 2012, The University of Maine published a piece on costs associated with horse ownership. Then, the average cost of owning a horse totaled almost $4,000 a year, with vet bills adding up to over 10% of that amount. Its easy to imagine those prices rocketing in the past seven years, which is why having natural options that prevent and protect horses from further pain and inflammation is something that horse owners are increasingly considering.
Horses have a physiological system called Endocannabinoid System (ECS) which plays a crucial role in regulating body functions and achieving overall homeostasis. CBD targets this system and allows the animal’s body to treat, swiftly and effectively, any issues they might be experiencing. For example, CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties can be used to treat ailments such as equine arthritis, muscle soreness and chronic laminitis.
“Horses are a very demanding animal, both in terms of care and means, so it is no wonder owners do everything they can to keep their horse happy and healthy. This is why I am excited to be able to offer a quality CBD product that will help improve horses’ well-being and overall health,” says Rene Lauritsen, CEO at Linkreservations Inc. “Being such large animals, existing products and supplements for pets such as cats and dogs are too minimal to be truly effective – we have seen this gap in the market and therefore created a specific product that can care for horses with dosages and efficacy that will actually make a difference.”
The CBD products for horses will be available on www.linkrespet.com in the coming weeks.
