Lisa Armstrong has hinted she feels her axe from Britiain’s Got Talent is “ridiculously unfair” after she liked a string of tweets from her furious fans.

Armstrong was dropped from the show after it became “untenable” for her to work alongside her ex-husband Ant McPartlin, according to the Mirror.

The makeup artist, who has worked on the talent contest for over a decade, liked and replied to tweets from fans who argued it was unfair for Armstrong to be axed in the wake of their divorce.

One tweet read: “I feel compelled to message you. What you find yourself in is ridiculously unfair. I’m so sorry. Things will get better. You are a truly amazing human being and we all adore you. Keep being you (sic).”

Another read: “We think you’ve been treated poorly, we are very must Team Lisa #golisa #teamlisa.”

She liked a third which referenced McPartlin’s drink-driving conviction: “When does hard work, graft and talent get you punished!!! Dignified clever beautiful yet the one who abides the law gets s*** on and the one who abuses the law is able to stroll back nooooooo.”

Her liking spree comes hours after she appeared to confirm reports she has been axed on Twitter after posting “exactly hun” in response to a fan who tweeted: “Sorry like @lisaAmakeup being axed is just bloody ridiculous!! Why should she be punished?!”

She commented “nope” on a post asking if it was her decision to leave the hit show.

McPartlin, who is currently dating his former PA Anne Marie Corbett, is reportedly set to make his TV comeback in January after nearly a year away from screens to kick off filming for the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

He missed out on the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity, which saw him replaced by Holly Willoughby, but is expected to return alongside Declan Donnelly next year.
